The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center and the Behavioral Rehabilitation Department, held a seminar titled “The Psychological and Social Dimensions of Violence Against Women and Girls,” presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Noha Laibi Sahm.
The seminar highlighted the serious psychological effects of violence, such as fear, anxiety, loss of self-confidence, and potential depression and isolation, as well as its negative social impact on family stability and women’s role in society. The session saw strong engagement from faculty members and students and emphasized the importance of raising awareness, promoting equality, and supporting women’s rights.
