As the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University (PBUH),
I am delighted to welcome you to this distinguished academic institution, which stands as a beacon of knowledge, research, and innovation in Iraq and the region. Over the decades, our university has earned a remarkable reputation thanks to its highly qualified faculty, ambitious students, and rigorous academic and research programs, making it a leader in preparing pharmacists, scientists, and researchers across various pharmaceutical disciplines.

At the College of Pharmacy – Al-Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University (PBUH), we are committed to providing a stimulating and enriching educational environment throughout the five years of undergraduate study. During this journey, we refine our students’ skills and equip them with the knowledge that enables them to become creative leaders in healthcare, as well as highly competent pharmacists capable of meeting the health needs of society both locally and globally.

Our college offers its academic programs through a main track: the undergraduate program in Pharmacy (Bachelor of Pharmacy).

The vision of our college is built upon integrating advanced theoretical education with practical, field-based training. We provide our students with invaluable opportunities for clinical and research training through strategic partnerships with major hospitals, research centers, and healthcare institutions in Baghdad. This enables them to transition with confidence from the classroom to professional practice.

Vision

To prepare professionals pharmacists to be qualified in high scientific and professional skills, along with strong ethical values, to meet the needs of the job market and become leaders in their fields capable of promoting health awareness in society.

Objectives

1.to prepare qualified pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists to work in healthcare institutions, community pharmacies, pharmaceutical laboratories, clinical laboratories studies , pharmaceutical factories, and private pharmaceutical marketing companies.

2.to provide the highest levels of knowledge and encourage students to use the latest scientific methods and tools.

3.to promote scientific research in all fields of pharmaceutical sciences, and to participate in conferences, seminars, and discussion panels to meet the needs of society and support the country’s development and progress plans. To in pharmaceutics prepare generations capable of critical thinking, creativity, and continuous advancement.

4.to establish a quality management system and raise awareness ,to obtain programmatic accreditation for the College of Pharmacy.

5.to collaborate with educational, research, industrial, and commercial institutions in order to achieve the goals of the college.

6.tocontinuously provide and maintain infrastructure to ensure a suitable academic study environment.

7.to develop the capabilities of faculty members through specialized training programs and professional development courses.
