Objectives

1. Prepare pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists qualified to work in healthcare institutions, community pharmacies, medical laboratories, patient testing labs, and pharmaceutical factories, especially in companies specialized in drug marketing. 

2. Provide high levels of knowledge and encourage students to use the latest scientific methods. 

3. Promote scientific research in all fields of pharmaceutical sciences, hold conferences, seminars, and workshops to meet the needs of society and development plans, and prepare generations capable of critical thinking, creativity, and continuous improvement in science and qualitative research. 

4. Collaborate with educational, industrial, and commercial institutions to achieve the college's goals.

5. Strive to obtain programmatic accreditation for the College of Pharmacy. 

6. Continuously maintain and provide the necessary infrastructure to ensure a suitable academic environment. 

7. Develop the capabilities of teaching staff through specialized training programs and development courses.

Who Can Register

Admission to the College of Pharmacy – Al-Imam Al-Sadiq University (PBUH) is open to students who have graduated from the scientific/biology branch of secondary school, in accordance with the regulations and requirements set by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and based on the minimum admission scores announced annually. 

Applicants must meet all admission criteria, including official documentation, required GPA, and online application through the Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up. 

The college accepts both male and female students under the morning or evening study systems, as approved by the university. 

History

- The College of Pharmacy at Al-Imam Al-Sadiq University (PBUH) was established in 2024 with the aim of preparing scientifically and professionally distinguished pharmaceutical cadres capable of keeping pace with modern developments in pharmaceutical sciences. 

The college strives to provide a comprehensive educational environment through advanced scientific curricula, state-of-the-art laboratories, and a specialized academic staff.  Since its establishment, the college has been committed to upholding the principles of rigorous university education, with a focus on ethical and professional values, in line with the university’s vision of integrating knowledge and faith 

Organizational Structure

1. Dean of the College 

The highest authority in the college, supervising both administrative and academic aspects.

2. Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs 

Responsible for academic affairs, curriculum, examinations, and scientific development.
