Dean’s Message – College of Arts

At the College of Arts, Imam Ja’afar Al-Sadiq University, we take pride in reaffirming our commitment to academic excellence and community service through our three departments: Clinical Psychology, Media, and History.
We strive to prepare a generation of students equipped with solid knowledge, professional skills, and human values—contributing to the development of Iraqi society, the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, and the advancement of scientific research and positive social impact.

The College of Arts is a home of creativity and thought—a place where the past, present, and future intersect. We pledge to our students and community continued academic initiatives and activities that strengthen our university’s position as a leading center of learning and innovation.

Description

The College of Arts is one of the colleges of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq University (AS), established in the academic year 2004/2005. Initially, it consisted of three departments (Media, Arabic Language, History), and in the academic year 2005/2006, the English Language department was established. Subsequently, the Department of Quranic Sciences was established in the academic year 2016-2017. In the academic year 2021-2022, the Clinical Psychology department was established.

To provide a high-quality academic program in higher education and prepare graduates with skills and competencies capable of keeping pace with modern global developments and actively contributing to finding economic and social solutions through scientific research.

To be a distinguished academic institution with a high level of education and scientific research, and the best choice for students and researchers to meet the requirements of the local and global job market.
