Mission

Despite the great challenges that society has faced in recent years, the Department of English provides a specticular academic environment in line with the university's aspirations and future plans.

The Department's academic plans and curricula have evolved and its programs have diversified to become one of the largest departments in the College of Arts. The Department provides distinguished academic service to about six hundred students divided into four study stages. The Department looks forward to adding more programs to meet the needs of the local and foreign labor market.

Also, the Department pays great attention to extracurricular activities, which in turn contribute to refining students' academic and life skills. The Department of English includes faculty members who have high scientific competencies and distinguished experiences in teaching and scientific research, and who obtained their higher degrees from masters and doctorates from reputable universities.

Over the past years, thousands of students have graduated from the English Language Department and are now working in various fields, including English language teaching, translation, journalism, editing, writing, publishing, content writing, digital marketing, and self-employment. and local and international organisations.
