Follow-up Department

 

About the Department:

The Department was established in 2014 with the name (Follow-up and University Security Department) and the name has changed now to be (Follow-up Department). The Department is directly linked to the President of the University, and the Follow-up Department is one of the most important departments as it is responsible for maintaining and providing security and order within the University.

Follow-up Department objectives
1- Achieving security, stability and protection for the University and its branches.
2- Providing protection to the President of the University and the deans during the performance of official work or because of it.
3- Monitoring students' behavior on campus.
4- Working on follow-up and electronic monitoring by placing surveillance cameras on all the buildings of the Presidency of the University and following them up on a daily basis in the cameras and monitoring room of our Department and in the light of updates.

5- Issuing ID cards and permits for vehicles to enter the University campus for the purpose of controlling the security of the University.
6- Issuing students' ID cards annually.
7- Organizing the reception of new students and directing them to abide by the rules of the University system and ministerial instructions.
8- The Department coordinates with the security services to maintain the external borders and provide adequate protection.
9- Providing adequate protection for all celebrations and festivals that take place at the University.
10- Controlling fires, completing the requirements for prevention, safety and civil defense, and using modern means and technology through the provision of fire-sensing systems, early warning and modern means of extinguishing fires.

Organizational Chart
The organizational structure consists of several divisions, as follows:-
Department manager 
He is the one who is directly responsible for all Department tasks and supervising all follow-up staff and follow-up security tasks for all faculties, departments and branches of our University and assigned to the Campus Guards Division official in addition to his duties.

Civil Defense Division
The responsibility of the Civil Defense Division is to control fires, complete prevention and safety requirements, and use modern means and technology by providing fire sensor systems, early warning and modern means of extinguishing fires, and holding civil defense courses for all follow-up staff and University employees.

Division of issuing ID's and authorization letters
 It is the Division responsible for issuing student ID cards as well as wheel entry cards to the University campus for the purpose of controlling the University’s security and issuing vehicles entry permits to workers of companies who work in University projects for the purpose of controlling campus security.

Reception Division
It is the Division responsible for receiving visitors and facilitating the entry and exit of University employees, students, and teaching staff, as well as other visitors.
