8. Course objectives

Developing and expanding common History vocabulary and phrases

Developing linguistic knowledge, including grammar, such as tenses and structures

Explaining the linguistic similarities and differences between Arabic and English

Developing comprehension skills and composing English sentences

 

 

 

 

Learning outcomes, teaching, learning and assessment methods

A- Cognitive objectives

A1- Knowing the theoretical foundations of the language.

A2- The ability to translate at least 300 History words and phrases into English.

A3-The ability to compose grammatically correct sentences in terms of structure, tenses, etc.

A4- Knowing the basic linguistic differences between Arabic and English.

 

B- The skills objectives of the course

B1 - Empowering the student mentally through training, practice and learning, which are organized through knowledge and experiences

B2 - Acquire the greatest amount of knowledge about the history of the subject.

B3 - The ability to participate collectively and dialogue.

B4- Knowledge of concepts and terminology related to the subject.

Teaching and learning methods

1 - Learning strategies, such as strategies for activating memory, cognitive processing, and increasing speed and capacity during learning.

2 - Thinking strategies through the semantics of thinking, such as analysis and deduction, planning and self-organization strategies.

3- Presenting the course vocabulary to the students.

4 - Assigning students to daily duties and demanding them in an organized manner.

5 - Informing students about how grades are calculated for students during the semester and their exam results, and discussing failures and successes.

1 - The oral exam through dialogue and discussion, the written exam assigned to the student, and the scientific research and report.

2 - Proposing highly comprehensible ideas that lead to a deep field of thought, and thinking through the points presented, which leads to helping the learner in developing his thinking skills, organizing ideas, discussions, and scientific tests.

Teaching and learning methods

1 - Scientific discussions, dialogue, and the use of modern technologies to absorb the most prominent ones, smart screens, and benefit from Internet sites and electronic and paper books.

2 - Managing the lecture in an applied manner linked to the reality of daily life to attract the student to the topic of the lesson without straying from the core of the topic so that the material is flexible and capable of being understood and analysed.

3- Assigning the student to some group activities and duties.

4- Allocating a percentage of the grade to daily assignments and tests.

5 - Creative thinking among students and keeping pace with the latest scientific methods available in teaching and learning.
