8. Course Objectives:
- To develop academic education in the university and college in accordance with the quality standards in higher education that enable universities to produce outputs that are integrated into the labor market and capable of production.
- To introduce first-year students to an important era in ancient world history, namely the Greek and Roman civilizations, which are the cornerstone of modern European civilization.
- To identify the most important military figures in ancient Greek history who controlled most parts of the ancient world, namely (Alexander the Great) and to study his military campaigns.
- To learn about the history of Rome and the stages of its political system from the monarchy to the republic to the imperial era and the domination of the ancient world.

A. Cognitive Objectives:
- A1- To identify an important era in ancient world history, namely the Greek and Roman civilizations, and the extent of their influence and impact on ancient world civilizations.
- A2- To draw students' attention to the study of the lives and experiences of peoples and civilizations.
- A3- To prepare students for an advanced academic level through research and scientific reports.
- A4- To help students assimilate as much as possible from the prescribed curriculum.
- A5- To prepare students mentally and intellectually to receive the study material.
- A6- Knowledge and understanding.

- B1- To use oral questions to clarify the vocabulary of the material.
- B2- To acquire the maximum amount of knowledge about the material.
