Course Description:
This course provides an overview of the history of the Prophetic Era, focusing on the key events that had an impact on the political, economic, social, and military conditions of the time. The course also explores the major achievements of the Islamic state in the Arabian Peninsula, as well as the challenges and threats it faced.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify the main sources for studying the history of the Prophetic Era.
- Analyze the political, economic, social, and military conditions of Mecca and Medina before the Prophethood.
- Describe the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from his birth to his Prophethood at the age of forty.
- Explain the stages of the Islamic الدعوة (call to Islam).
- Discuss the Hijrah (migration) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to Medina.
- Analyze the major battles and events of the Prophetic Era.
- Evaluate the achievements of the Islamic state in the Arabian Peninsula.
- Identify the challenges and threats faced by the Islamic state in the Arabian Peninsula.
- Understand the political, social, economic, and military relations during this historical period.
Course Content:
The course will cover the following topics:
- The political and social situation in Mecca and Medina before the Prophethood.
- The life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from his birth to his Prophethood at the age of forty.
- The stages of the Islamic الدعوة (call to Islam).
- The Hijrah (migration) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to Medina.
- The major battles and events of the Prophetic Era.
- The achievements of the Islamic state in the Arabian Peninsula.
- The challenges and threats faced by the Islamic state in the Arabian Peninsula.
- The political, social, economic, and military relations during this historical period.
