Objectives of the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department:

1. Active contribution to the preparation of laboratory technicians who meet the needs of the government and private health laboratories workforce, capable of conducting various laboratory tests, including blood tests, microscopic and serological analyses, histopathological examinations, and specialized tests in clinical chemistry, hormones, immunology, and general examinations.

1. Enriching students with basic biological and medical sciences in general, as well as the fundamental principles of pathological analyses and their theoretical and scientific applications, serving the public interest.

1. Training personnel capable of operating and maintaining medical laboratory equipment used in diagnostic laboratories.

1. Diligent and effective work in building advanced laboratories that operate according to the best conditions of international standards (WHO, ISO), under field supervision by specialists in this field.

1. Serious efforts to establish common links between the laboratories in Imam Ja’afar Al_Sadiq University and internationally accredited high-efficiency laboratories within the twinning program.
