Instructions for publishing in the Journal of Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) University for Legal Studies:
1. The Journal of Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University (PBUH) for Legal Studies is issued semi-annually by the College of Law.
2. The journal specializes in publishing valuable scientific research in legal and political fields, which has not been previously published or submitted to another party (with a written commitment from the author of the research) within the journal’s axes, provided that the scientific research methodology and its steps are accepted locally and globally, and research is accepted in one of the two languages, Arabic or English.
3. Research submitted for publication is subject to determination of plagiarism using the Turnitin program.
4. All papers sent to the journal are subject to a preliminary examination by the editorial board to decide their suitability for the journal’s specialization, then to indicate its eligibility for arbitration.
5. It is necessary to achieve linguistic integrity, taking into account the punctuation marks, the strength of the style and the clarity of the idea. The editorial board has the right to require the researcher to amend the research in line with the journal’s policy before sending it to the arbitrators.
6. Accepted papers are sent to confidential scientific arbitration by specialists before they are published, to ensure scientific sobriety, objectivity, novelty and documentation (according to an approved form). The editorial board is not obligated to reveal the names of its arbitrators, and rejects the research contained within it references reveal the researcher.
7. To ensure the complete confidentiality of the arbitration process, the information on the identity of the researcher or researchers is the first page of the research only.
8. The researcher is committed to making the essential modifications proposed by the arbitrators for the research.
9. The journal's editorial board has the right to reject the research and take a decision not to deal with the researcher in the future when it discovers something that contradicts the required scientific integrity after verifying that.
10. The editorial board reserves the right to make the necessary formal and linguistic modifications.
11. Researches are not returned to their owners, whether they are accepted for publication or not.
12. The copyright of the research and its publication shall be transferred to the journal when the author of the research is notified of his acceptance of publication, and it may not be transferred except by reference to our magazine, and the author of the research or any other party may not re-publish it in a book, newspaper or periodical except after obtaining a written approval from the editor-in-chief.
13. It is not permissible to publish more than one research by a researcher in a single issue of a journal, whether his research is submitted individually or jointly.
14. The author of the research shall be provided, upon publication, with one sealed copy of his research, extracted.
15. The editorial board reserves the right to publish priority in all the topics it receives and takes into consideration the balance of the journal and the priority in submitting the research modified after evaluation and other considerations, and the arrangement of research in a single issue is subject to the technical standards approved in the editorial plan.
16. The research published in the magazine expresses the opinions of its owners, and does not express the opinion of the editorial board of the magazine.
17. Correspondence related to the journal is made via the journal's email address ([email protected]).
18. The journal is committed to a publishing policy that reflects its commitment to the ethics of scientific research and the terms of the Publication Ethics Committee of the Publication Ethics Committee.
19. The journal complies with all the regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Research and Development Department for scientific journals.
20. The research is submitted in three hard copies and an electronic copy.
21. The editorial board stresses the need to adhere to objective, free and calm research that is far from all forms of attack or prejudice to symbols and personalities. It refrains from publishing topics that touch sacred sanctities or those that call for factional and sectarian fanaticism and everything that necessitates disunity and threatens societal peace.
Author Guidelines
Below are the conditions and requirements to be taken into account by the researcher for publication in this journal. It is stipulated that the research has not been published or will be published in any other scientific journal and has not been completed for more than four years.
1. The title of the research should be as brief as possible and expressive of the research, and it should include (summary, introduction, methodology, results, recommendations, list of references).
2. Names of researchers: The names of researchers and their work addresses are clearly written with the researchers' e-mail.
3.The search is printed by computer using the Microsoft office-word program with single spaces between the lines and in (Simplified Arabic) font size 14 for the body and 12 for the margin, and 16 in bold for the main title and 15 in bold for the subtitle and if the search is in English, it is in (Times New Roman) font .
4. The number of research pages should not exceed twenty-five pages, including references, footnotes, tables and figures, with a margin of 2 cm from the top and bottom and a margin of 3 cm from the right and left sides. page max.
5. The sources are referred to as they appear in the body of the research with sequential numbers placed in parentheses.
6. Unpublished references will not be accepted. References accepted for publication with the specified number and volume, in which they will be published, may be accepted.
7. The references in the list of references are arranged alphabetically according to the names of the authors and the years of publication.
8. The sources are arranged according to the international format (APA) and as the examples mentioned:
A. Research in the journal.
The name of the researcher or researchers, (year) the title of the research, the name of the journal, the volume, the issue and the starting and ending pages of the research.
B. Books.
Name of the author or authors, (year) title of the book, edition, publishing house and number of pages.
C. University theses and theses.
The name of the researcher, (year), title of the thesis or thesis, title (college and university) and the number of pages.
D. Research in the proceedings of a conference or scientific symposium.
The name of the researcher or researchers, (the year), the title of the research, the name of the conference or scientific symposium, the venue, the start and end pages of the research.
9. The researcher signs the pledge that the research has not been previously published, has not been submitted for publication to other parties, and that it will not be submitted for publication at the same time until the arbitration procedures are completed.
10. Attached with the research a comprehensive and accurate summary in Arabic and English consisting of 200-300 words and in one continuous piece without paragraphs.
11. The fees of experts and publication shall be submitted in cash according to the legal procedures approved by the financial department.
12. The researcher receives a serial number for his research that includes the date of receipt of the research, and then he is informed of the procedures that have taken place.
Reviewer Guidelines
Below are the conditions and requirements to be taken into account by the assessor for the submitted research:
1. A research evaluation form is prepared (Form No. 4 attached), which includes the following:
A. A paragraph related to the topic of the research, has it been studied before, according to your knowledge? Is there a literal quote? (Indicating a quotation, if any) or a citation specifying the location of the citation.
B. A detailed technical evaluation table consisting of (24) specific paragraphs formulated according to Curt’s triple scale {good (3), acceptable (2), poor (1)} and the expert marks the selection of one of them according to his conviction of the content of the paragraph, and not leave any Unanswered paragraph.
C. A special place for the expert’s notes on the details of the research, or its general basics (scientific or methodological) for the researcher to benefit from.
D. Evaluation summary related to the validity of publication according to three options (valid for publication, valid after making modifications, not valid for publication) according to the criteria specified in the form.
E. A specific place for establishing reasons for not being valid for publication, if it is decided to do so.
2. The assessor must ensure that the titles of the Arabic and English abstracts are semantically consistent and suggest the appropriate amendment.
3. The valuator should indicate whether the researcher followed the correct statistical method.
4. That the assessor clarify his opinion in discussing the results, are they sufficient and logical?
5. The evaluator must determine the extent to which the researcher uses scientific references.
6. The evaluator can explain in a separate paper the basic modifications that he proposes to accept the research.
